My wife and I went, a few weeks ago, to Fort Wayne, Indiana. We went specifically to photograph the Amish and enjoy the autumn colors in the countryside. We ventured to Nappanee and Shipshewana which are about fifty miles northwest of Fort Wayne and both are true Amish settlements. The weather, sights and sounds were all perfect and many great camera shots were taken. I might add; the Amish bakery and restaurant in Shipshewana were superb and the local people extremely friendly. If you are looking for a great area for a weekend get-away I can highly recommend northern Indiana.
I have included several prints from the area and will exhibit more in a future blog.
