I have been working the past few weeks on some old negatives and slides that I shot out west on several photo trips that I took a number of years ago. The pictures that I am exhibiting this month are from Wyoming, Nevada, Oregon and California. I also have included one of a young Japanese cyclist who was brought to northern British Columbia by his parents in 1987 to bike across the continent. He explained to me that he would finish his trek in Boston where his family would be waiting for him. I took his photograph near Jasper and warned him about showing everyone his money in his saddlebag.
The other two portraits contained in this blog were both taken in California. The old mariner with the tattoos and pierced ears was taken on the SanFrancisco waterfront in 2003. The girl with the glasses is a street manequin that I found at Venice Beach in Los Angeles (1999).
The displayed prints are fairly self-explanatory and there are titles on each one. I hope you enjoy this edition and please leave a comment if you would. Thanks for looking in. Keith Vanstone
