Cruise Time Again!

It's August and that means cruise time again. While many cities in in southeastern Michigan are having car shows and street runs this month, the Detroit Dream Cruise is still the grand gala. The automobiles come from all over the United States and many from Canada, too. They take us back to an era when it was quite easy to tell one car from another and life was a little more laid back. It seems that the romance of the automobile has slipped into the shadows like most other things in this high tech environment, we now live in. I guess music and old wheels have a sincere draw for those of us who can still remember 440 blocks and tri-power; not to mention rock and roll.
I enjoy car shows and try to attend as many as I can, when I can. It's funny how a car is dated by the beholder, as  now I only consider a vehicle old if it was manufactured prior to 1950 or is a make that has ceased to exist. I look forward to the Dream Cruise, again this year, with the cars, the crowds and the joy of losing myself, for a while, in my bygone past.
I chose the pictures for this month from my collection of automobile prints. I hope you enjoy them and will leave a comment, pro or con, at the bottom of the blog. Once again; thanks for looking in. ---
